On Thursday 1st February, we will be taking part in the NSPCC Number Day (other schools may also be doing this on 2nd Feb). The aim of the day is to understand how much maths and number there is in the world around us and to have fun doing maths in school.
To help us have a great day, it would be really helpful if children could bring in any board games or card games that involve number or maths – there are some suggestions below although you may well have other suitable games. Please do not bring in electronic games and please make sure any games that are brought in are labelled.
To raise money for the NSPCC, we will be selling cakes with a number theme outside the Year Six classrooms at the end of the day and of course there is lots of maths and number related activity in cooking and selling! Any donations of cakes to sell would also be much appreciated.
